Biography

2013: Played in 42 games for the Gamecocks in 2013, making 23 starts…named to the All-Tournament team at the OVC Tournament after going 6-for-9 at the plate with a double and two runs scored…finished the regular season with a .176 average…recorded 15 hits on the season while scoring 12 runs…added three doubles and stole five bases…finished with two hits in a game three times on the year, the first against Sam Houston State on Feb. 15 and then twice during the OVC Tournament against Eastern Kentucky on May 8 and Murray State on May 11.

2012: Played in all 56 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore and served as the team’s primary center fielder, earning 55 starts…hit .287 with seven doubles, a triple, four home runs and 16 RBI…had a .374 on-base percentage and stole six bases…in OVC play, was second on the team with a .304 batting average, five doubles and three home runs…recorded two hits in a game eight times…drove in a season-high two runs in a 2-for-2 game at Austin Peay on April 28…recorded two hits in back-to-back games twice, vs. Furman and UAB in early March and vs. SIUE and APSU on April 28.

2011: Played in all 61 games for the Gamecocks as a true freshman, starting 60 …served as the team’s primary center fielder and boasted a .951 fielding percentage…hit .274 with three homers, seven doubles, a triple and 25 RBI…was a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts… was one of the hardest strikeouts in the nation, ranking in the Top 30 after striking out just nine times in 179 at bats…hit .296 in OVC games…was 5-for-9 with the bases loaded…went 4-for-9 with a triple and four RBI in the OVC Tournament to earn All-Tournament honors…notched three hits in a game twice, the first coming in a 3-for-3, three run, three RBI game against Eastern Kentucky on March 12, a game that also saw her hit her first career home run…also went 3-for-3 with a solo homer vs. Murray State on May 7.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons for coach Dale Palmer at Sparkman High School in Sparkman, Ala…was a first team all-state selection as a senior after batting .485, belting 12 home runs, stealing 26 bases and posting a .582 on-base percentage…in 2010, was also a Top 12 Elite selection after leading the Senators to a 56-9 record…guided SHS to a 53-9 record and the AHSAA 6A State Championship as a junior, hitting .317…as a freshman in 2007, was a first team all-state player that led SHS to a 56-11 mark…in her career with the Senators, led them to a combined 218-37 record, while earning MVP honors at the 2009 Nashville City Hits Tournament, the 2010 Hoover Classic and 2009 Regional…was a 3A all-state player as an eighth grader at West Morgan High School…played travel ball with JSU teammates Tiffany Harbin and Tyris Branford for the Huntsville Sparks.

PERSONAL: Born on April 28, 1992, in Decatur, Ala…the daughter of Bobby and Christy Crawford…has an older sister, Haleigh Fairbanks…is majoring in special education at JSU.
