Played in 31 of the Gamecocks’ 33 games as a junior, starting in eight of them…averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game and shot 45 percent from the floor…was impressive in his JSU debut, a 10-point, seven-rebound effort against Miles College in the season opener…was 3-for-4 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the free throw line against Miles…grabbed seven rebounds again in the second game of the year, a loss at Marshall…scored a season-high 14 points vs. Weber State on Nov. 27, a game that saw him go 5-for-7 from the field with seven boards…pulled in a season-high nine rebounds vs. UT Martin on Feb. 25.

PRIOR TO JSU
Played two seasons for head coach Terry Carroll at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa…was a second-team all-region selection…as a sophomore in 2010-11, averaged 7.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game, while also shooting 56 percent from the floor…as a freshman in 2009-10, scored 7.4 points per contest, while grabbing 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 0.6 steals per outing…was also a 56 percent shooter as a freshman…helped the Blackhawks to two regional and two district titles…played alongside current JSU teammate Mason Leggett.

Born on Aug. 22, 1986…the son of Roberto Henriques Mafra and Regina Das G. Alves de Oliveira…has an older brother, Roberto, and a younger brother, Rodrigo…has three younger sisters, Marina, Rhaysa and Renata…his brother Roberto, played at Southeastern CC and San Diego and now plays professionally in Germany…is majoring in business at JSU.
