Biography
2017: JSU’s leading scorer as a sophomore with a team-best seven goals in 16 matches-played…suffered a season-ending injury against Eastern Kentucky (10/13)…helped Jax State to a 4-1 win over Middle Tennessee (8/25) with a pair of goals…scored goals in back-to-back matches against South Alabama (9/3) and put Jax State on the board versus Louisiana-Monroe (9/8)…delivered game-winning goals in OVC play against Austin Peay (9/29) and Eastern Illinois (10/6)…led the Gamecocks in shots with 37 with over half of the attempts on goal…turned in 16 shots in OVC action…earned All-OVC honors as a member of the league’s Second Team.
2016: Saw action In 19 games and started 14 games as a freshman…played 63 minutes in her JSU debut in the season opener against Middle Tennessee (8/19)…led the Gamecocks in total shots with 39…registered her first career goal against Ohio Valley Conference member SIU Edwardsville (10/2)…delivered a goal versus Morehead State (10/11)…connected on a season-high six shots on two occasions against Eastern Illinois (9/30) and The Citadel (9/18)…credited with four shots on goal in the EIU contest…also had three on goal chances versus The Citadel and Charleston Southern (9/16)…played the full 90 minutes against Austin Peay (10/23).
Pre JSU: Prepped at Villa Rica High School just across the state line in Villa Rica, Georgia…played for head coach Christina Tidaback…collected 15 goals and 20 assists as a freshman at VRHS…added 18 goals and 25 assists in her sophomore season…active on the club circuit with the Southern Soccer Academy and a member of the Southern SSA Chelsea 98G Elite Team…her club squad ranks No. 1 in the state of Georgia and fifth in Region 3 and among the top-65 squads in the nation…scored a pair of goals and an assist with the Chelsea club…helped Chelsea to the semifinals of the Disney Soccer Showcase last December and was a finalist in the Georgia State Cup…the Chelsea squad win the 2015 Southeast College Soccer Showcase in February of 2015…also a member of the VRHS basketball team…solid in the classroom as a member of the Nation Honors Society and Who's Who Among American High School Students.
Personal: Born July 16, 1998…the daughter of Deantee' Monroe, Sr. and Paula Monroe…has one brother, Deantee', Jr. and a sister, Donye', who is a member of the USC Upstate women's soccer program…her cousin, DeAntoine Beasley, played basketball at Tennessee Tech and is currently an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb.
