JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State volleyball team will hit the road once again in their final tune up before beginning Ohio Valley Conference play as the Gamecocks travel to West Lafayette, Ind., to participate in the Purdue Active Ankle Challenge.

The Gamecocks (6-5) will face 14th ranked Purdue (6-2) in the tournament's opening match on Friday at 10 a.m. and then Bowling Green (2-6) at 5 p.m. JSU will close the tournament with a match against UAB on Saturday. All matches will be played in Purdue University's Mackey Arena.

The Gamecocks will face Bowling Green for the first time in school history. The Falcons return six starters from last year's team and are led by Paige Penrod with 3.83 kills per set and Kanielle Tonyan with 3.33 kills per set.
