JACKSONVILLE – New Jacksonville State Volleyball coach
Terry Gamble added another player to his first Gamecock signing class with the addition of Charis Luedtke from Hamburg, Germany.
Luedtke is a 5-foot-11 outside hitter from overseas and is the fourth member of Gamble's first class.
Gamble has high expectations for his new addition to the JSU roster for the 2014 season.
"Charis has the ability to come in and start right away for us, she is a very nice player who can play both pins," said Gamble. "We needed someone who can play six rotations and I think Charis has the ability to do that. She is a nice young lady with a big volleyball upside".
Gamble and staff are not done looking for new faces for the JSU program as he mentioned there might be more additions to the 2014 class that will look to be contributors once they get on campus.
"This is a really good start to rebuilding the program to where it was at one time, we have players coming in who can really play, but there is going to be a learning curve for them," added Gamble. "The nice thing is we are not done with the class yet. Look for a couple more announcements in the weeks ahead".
