JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville State men's tennis team was defeated 5-2 Thursday afternoon at the JSU Tennis Courts. The Gamecocks won the doubles point and a singles match, but ultimately came up three short of the home victory.

Mathias Chaim earned a two-set win over Mercer's Phillip Johnston at No. 5. The team of
Jaryd Reese and
Austin McCormick claimed a 6-3 doubles set, while Chaim and
Andres Gomez were 6-4 victors.
