DALLAS, TX. – Jax State men's tennis has four members of the team honored by the Conference USA this season.
Marko Milosavljevic was named to the All-CUSA Singles First Team,
David Krasner was named to the All-CUSA Singles Second Team,
Zach Murphy and
Lucius Soller were named to the All-CUSA Doubles Second Team, and Krasner also won the CUSA Newcomer of the Year award.
Milosavljevic was the Gamecocks' go-to in the No. 2 and 3 slot all season. In that position, Milosavljevic accumulated an 11-4 singles record. His wins came against Alabama A&M, Air Force, Xavier, North Alabama, Wallace State-Hanceville, Furman, Presbyterian, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, UAB, and Liberty. The Liberty win came in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
Milosavljevic also went 6-7 in doubles to compliment his output in singles action. He also was awarded the CUSA Athlete of the Week thanks to going 2-0 in both doubles and singles against UAB and Kennesaw State back on April 15.
Krasner split time anywhere between the No. 3 through 5 slots for the Gamecocks, with the majority of his time played in the No. 4 slot. Krasner had a team-best 12-4 record with wins against Alabama A&M, South Alabama, Georgia Southern, Utah State, Denver, Xavier, Wallace State-Hanceville, Furman, Presbyterian, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, and UAB.
Krasner also went 6-7 in doubles play this season. Krasner and Milosavljevic helped the Gamecocks to a 58-36 singles record as a team. Krasner's efforts also earned him Newcomer of the Year honors as his first season with the Gamecocks and in the CUSA was this year after spending a year at Wagner University in 2024.
Zach Murphy and
Lucius Soller had a team-best 13-3 doubles record to solidify their spot on the All-CUSA Doubles Second Team. Murphy and Soller got off to a blazing 8-0 record early in the year and brought home the CUSA Doubles Team of the Week on March 4 after a 3-0 weekend against Denver, Utah State, and Air Force.
The pairing of Murphy and Soller helped the Gamecocks to a 30-17 doubles record.
The Gamecocks went 12-7 this spring and went 7-0 on their home court. Prior to losing to Liberty in the CUSA Men's Tennis Championship Tournament, the Gamecocks closed out the regular season on a six-match winning streak to close out the regular season with wins against South Carolina State, Furman, Presbyterian, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, and UAB.
