Jax State (3-9-2, 1-5-0 OVC) will be looking to get back in the win column this weekend after falling to Belmont and OVC leader UT Martin last weekend on the home pitch.  Following the road trip this weekend, the Gamecocks will close out the regular season with a home weekend against Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville.  JSU will honor its two departing seniors –
Claire Petersen and
Madison Carruthers prior to the EIU match on Friday, Oct. 19.
The Colonels of EKU begin the weekend level across the board with a 6-6-2 overall mark and 2-2-2 in the first six OVC matches.  EKU split last weekend's road trip, losing at Austin Peay, 3-0, on Friday night, before bouncing back with a 3-1 win at Belmont on Sunday in Nashville.   EKU has won three straight over JSU, including a 1-0 victory last year in Jacksonville. The Colonels lead the all-time series with the Gamecocks, 9-3-1.
MSU will take a mark of 3-11 on the season in to Friday's action against Tennessee Tech.  The Eagles lead the all-time series with JSU 9-5-1, but the Gamecocks topped MSU 2-1 at the JSU Soccer Field in 2017.
