Jax State has won the Destination Orlando tournament two of the three times its participated in it after winning all 13 of their matches this weekend at AMF Sky Lanes.

The Gamecocks were the runner-up in their inaugural season in Orlando and have won the tournament the last two seasons.

The top-ranked Gamecocks won all five of their Baker five game total pinfall matches, highlighted by a score of 1,139 in a 108-pin victory over Wichita State.

Freshman
Gianna Brandolino was the tournament MVP with a 239.6 average. Brandolino rolled a 266 against Florida A&M and a 257 in the following match against Duquesne.
Annalise OBryant joined Brandolino on the all-tournament team with a 207.8 average with a best game of 238 in a win over Sacred Heart.

Sunday started with a final Baker total pinfall match against UAB that the Gamecocks won 1,049-832 to head into the bracket as the top seed.

In the semifinal round, the Gamecocks took on fourth-seeded Vanderbilt. The Commodores won the first of the best-of-seven Baker series 235-201 and the teams tied at 225 in the second. Jax State then rattled off three in a row, 258-234, 223-203, and 247-189 before Vanderbilt won the sixth 190-172 to force the seventh game which Jax State won 213-182.

The Gamecocks saw Wichita State in the championship, winning the series 4-1 with a 215.6 average. Jax State won the first two games 244-223 and 213-185 before the Shockers picked up the third 207-165. The tournament concluded with 240-1187 and 216-200 wins to claim the title.
