JACKSONVILLE — The Jax State soccer team will head north to partake in two matches in three days, taking on the Delaware Blue Hens on Thursday night followed by the Liberty Flames on Saturday night. Both games will take place at 6 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Central on their respective days.
Jax State comes into the weekend with a 6-5-3 record overall and a 0-3-1 record in Conference USA play, earning its first conference point of the season after a 1-1 draw with New Mexico State on Saturday night. The Gamecocks took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a Louise Featherstone goal where she scored off of a deflection from the NMSU goalkeeper, who was saving a shot from Kaia Elverum.
JAX STATE at DELAWARE

Delaware comes into the weekend with an 8-1-4 overall record and a 1-1-2 mark in CUSA play, returning home after playing three-straight road matches. The Blue Hens battled to a 1-1 draw with New Mexico State in Las Cruces, earned a 2-1 win over UTEP, and had a 1-1 draw at Missouri State during their road trip.
Two Blue Hens have scored five goals this season, with Lilli Lubic and Adiat Olaogun-Dickson both hitting the mark. Gabby Riley leads the team with five assists.
Sophia Hall is the only goalkeeper to play for the Blue Hens this season, earning 48 saves in her 13 games of action. She is posting a 0.85 goals against average and has a 0.814 save percentage.
JAX STATE at LIBERTY
Saturday, October 11 | 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT)
Osborne Stadium (Lynchburg, Va.)
Liberty holds a 7-3-4 record overall and a 2-0-2 mark in CUSA play, one of three teams undefeated in CUSA play (WKU, 3-0-1, and Mo State, 2-0-2). The Flames will play Kennesaw State on Thursday night before meeting the Gamecocks on Saturday. Prior to the KSU game, the Flames have won two in a row, both on the road, taking down NMSU 2-0 and FIU 2-1.
Ivy Garner leads the flames with seven goals scored this season. Garner and Amelia Jacobs are tied at the top of the CUSA leaderboards with the most goals in the conference this season. Halle Engle leads the Flames with four assists this season.
Liberty has used three goalkeepers through the year, with Ainsley Leja taking the majority of the time at the net. She has started all seven games she has appeared in, allowing eight goals and saving 17 shots for 1.27 GAA and a 0.680 save percentage.
Jax State will conclude the road trip next Saturday at Kennesaw State before ending the regular season on Sunday, October 16, with Senior Day against Western Kentucky.
