JACKSONVILLE—The Gamecocks hit the road Sunday for a contest at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville to take on North Alabama at 1 p.m.
 
Last season, Jax State was a 5-0 winner over the Lions in the first collegiate game played at the home of Huntsville FC. Naroa Domenech scored twice and assisted on two others to help the Gamecocks down UNA for just the second time in six meetings.
 
Jax State sits at 1-0-0 on the season after a 3-2 victory at West Georgia to open the season on Thursday. Emma Reeder helped create the first goal of the game which was scored by Amelia Jacobs in the 16^th minute, then Louise Featherstone found the back of the net in the 79^th minute for a 2-0 advantage.
 
West Georgia scored in the 88^th minute, but Reeder was able to answer just 26 seconds later to push the advantage back to two. However, UWG cut the deficit in half again a mere 21 seconds after Reeder's tally, but were unable to come up with the equalizer in the final 1:15.
 
The Gamecocks had 58% of the possession total with 65% of that time spent on the attacking side of the midfield stripe. Jax State outshot UWG 20-7 and registered 10 on goal compared to four by the Wolves.
 
UNA sits at 0-1 on the year following a 1-0 setback at home against East Tennessee State. Madison Vukas made 10 saves for a new career high.
