Men's Tennis Hosts Lee Saturday

JACKSONVILLE – Gamecocks men's tennis is back in action Saturday at home. Jax State hosts Lee University at the Jax State Tennis Courts starting at 12 p.m.
The Gamecocks currently sit at 2-0 thanks to dominant wins at Berry on Jan. 27 where they won 7-0 and against Mississippi College on Jan. 29 where they earned a 6-1 victory. Meanwhile, the match will be the first of the season for Lee.
Against Mississippi College, the Gamecocks took the doubles point and swept all three courts even with the point clinched. The Gamecocks then went on to win all but one match in singles to take the 6-1 triumph.
In the team's first match of the season at Berry, the Gamecocks clinched the doubles point before taking every singles court victory en route to a 7-0 final.
Aman Dahiya, Timo De Visser, and Zach Murphy lead the Gamecocks in singles play this season with a 2-0 record. Alin Fatu, David Krasner, Charlie Penman, and Lucius Soller are all 1-0. Matei Palcau is 1-1 in singles. As a team, the Red-and-White have an 11-1 record thus far.
In doubles, De Visser and Dahiya have a 2-0 record. The pairing of Murphy and Soller also hold a 2-0 mark in doubles. Fatu has paired up with Krasner and Palcau so far and has a 1-0 record with both of those doubles' partners. The Gamecocks are a perfect 6-0 this season.
Following the home match Saturday, the Gamecocks move on to face Mercer Sunday at 10 a.m. central at Mercer.
