JAX STATE CAREER:
2024: Started all 14 games at linebacker...Served as the first defensive "Green Dot" in program history as the player wearing the coach to player communication device...Finished third on the team in tackles with 83, adding eight for loss and 3.5 sacks...Team leader in forced fumbles with four...Made a season-high 10 tackles with one for loss in overtime win at LA Tech (11/9)...Had two tackles for loss with a sack and a forced fumble in regular season finale at Western Kentucky (11/30)...Made eight stops with a forced fumble in StaffDNA Cure Bowl against Ohio (12/20)...Had seven tackles with a sack and a forced fumble in win at Liberty (10/30)...Also broke up three passes.Â
2023: Played in every game as a linebacker for the Gamecocks, starting 10 of them … one of Jax State’s leaders in the middle on defense and finished seventh on the team in total tackles with 60, 32 solo … had 5.5 tackles for a loss, including one sack, while also being credited with three quarterback hurries and a forced fumble … picked up a season-high nine tackles at FIU, one week after notching eight stops and a TFL against Western Kentucky … recorded two TFL and a sack in the Eastern Michigan game … against NM State, made five tackles, forced a fumble and recorded a QB hurry.
2022: Appeared in all 11 games, starting the final two of the season…his career-best 47 tackles were ninth among all Gamecocks as he racked up 19 in his two lone starts at the end of the year…initially set his single-game high with nine takedowns versus Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 12, before increasing that mark to 10 in the finale at Central Arkansas on Nov. 19 to help Jax State clinch the ASUN Championship…also forced his first fumble against the Bears. Â
2021: Played all 11 games for the second-straight season for JSU…recorded 13 tackles including 2.5 for loss…had five solo tackles and eight assisted…also registered a pair of quarterback hurries while creating havoc in the backfield…recovered a fumble and returned for nine yards at Lamar on Nov. 13.Â
FALL 2020/SPRING 2021: Appeared in 11 games, including his first career start against Mercer on October 10…picked up 10 tackles for the year, including six solo stops and a quarterback hurry against Southeast Missouri on March 21.Â
2019: Made appearances in four games, the first of his career coming against Austin Peay, before receiving a redshirt…recorded five tackles on the year with his first solo stop coming at UT-Martin.
HIGH SCHOOL: A two-star prospect by 247sports…played for head coach James Thompson at Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala…led the Wolverines to an 8-3 record and a berth in the 2018 AHSAA Class 6A Playoffs…led a CHS defense that recorded two shutouts in 2018 and held its foes under 10 points five times…held opposing teams to just over 12 points per game…recorded 175 tackles between his junior and senior seasons…was named one of the top five linebackers in the region by the Montgomery Advertiser in 2018…spent his first two seasons at Lanier High School…chose the Gamecocks over offers from UCF, Toledo, Central Michigan, Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee State and Alcorn State.
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 23, 2000 in Montgomery, Ala…son of Laletia Hale, Sr. and Makesha Adams…has two brothers, Jakeise Adams and Nakevious Wright, and two sisters, Raineice Johnson and Jamia Jones…majoring in kinesiology at JSU.
