2008-09
Saw action in all 28 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, earning the starting nod at center 19 times…led the team with 34 blocks, which ranked him fourth in the OVC with 1.2 per game…was the team’s second-leading rebounder with 5.2 per game…was 11th in the OVC with an average of 2.2 offensive boards per game…averaged 4.3 points per game and shot a team-best .551 from the floor in just under 18 minutes per game…was second on the team in fouls committed with 71…notched two double-doubles on the year, at Iowa State (10 pts. and 11 reb.) on Dec. 20 and vs. Southeast Missouri (10 pts. And 10 reb.) on Jan. 5…had one other double-digit rebound game with 10 vs, Murray State on Jan. 15…blocked a season-high five shots against Morehead State on Feb. 5…at Georgia Southern on Feb. 21, had nine points and nine rebounds.

2007-08

Appeared in all 29 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore, while starting 27 of them…averaged 7.6 points and a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game, a number that ranked him 10th in the OVC…set the JSU Diviion I record for blocks in a season with 57…blocked 2.0 shots per game, ranking second in the OVC and 48th nationally…scored 7.5 points per game and pulled in 5.5 boards per game in OVC play…shot a team-best .541 from the floor, fourth-best percentage in the OVC…recorded two double-doubles, on Nov. 20 vs. Berry (17 pts., 10 reb.) and Feb. 14 vs. Eastern Kentucky (11 pts., 10 reb.)…on Jan. 31 vs. Eastern Illinois, blocked six shots, tied for the most in a game by any OVC player during the season…blocked a shot in all but six games during the year, including six games with four or more blocks…scored a season-high 19 points on Jan. 10 vs. Tennessee Tech, when he was 9-for-12 from the floor and pulled in nine rebounds.

2006-07
Saw action in 19 games for the Gamecocks as a freshman and was in the starting lineup in seven games…averaged just under 15 minutes per game but blocked 23 shots, second on the team and eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference…averaged 2.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 41 percent from the floor…was 4-for-5 from the free throw line…recorded 19 of his 23 blocks in OVC play, while averaging 4.0 rebounds per game in league play…pulled in a season-high 11 rebounds at Austin Peay on Jan. 25…scored a season-high eight points and blocked a season-high four shots on Feb. 8 against Tennessee Tech…played 28 minutes against Tennessee State on Jan. 30.

Born on May 1, 1986, in Kaolack, Senegal…the son of Abou Mbodji and Ndeye Marieme Gaye…has three sisters, Mamy, Fatou and Diarra, and three brothers, Sileye, Mohammad and Pape…is majoring in exercise science and wellness, while minoring in management at JSU.
