2009-10
Appeared in all 29 of the Gamecocks’ regular season games, starting 17 at point guard…led the Gamecocks and ranked third in the OVC and 81st nationally with 4.4 assists per game…averaged 5.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest, while shooting .377 from the floor and .308 from behind the arc…dished 10 assists in a win over Tennessee State on Jan. 21, the third-highest total by an OVC player all season…scored a season-high 14 points at Morehead State on Feb. 4, while scoring 13 at Austin Peay on Feb. 15…dished nine assists once (vs. SEMO on Jan. 28) and eight twice (vs. West Alabama on Nov. 14 and vs. Austin Peay on Jan. 23)…dished 40 assists over a five-game stretch from Jan. 16 to Jan. 30.

PRIOR TO JSU
Played one season for head coach Michael Brown at Motlow State Community College in Lynchburg, Tenn…was a second-team all-region performer in his one season, guiding the Bucks to a 28-5 record and the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association (TJCAA) Eastern Division Title…averaged 10 points, six rebounds, eight assists and three steals per game to earn all-conference honors…notched the seventh-highest single-season assists mark in MSCC history.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played for head coach Wes Henning at Ridgeway High School in Memphis, Tenn…as a senior, he led the Roadrunners to a 33-3 mark…earned all-region accolades as a senior after averaging 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals per game…was first-team selection on the all-state. All-region and all-district teams…earned Regional MVP honors as a senior…also notched Defensive Player of the Year accolades after setting the school’s single-season record for steals…guided RHS to state titles in 2005 and 2008, compiling a combined 114-12 record in his career…also played football for the Roadrunners.

PERSONAL
Born on March 31, 1990, in Big Spring, Texas…the son of Abner and Peggy Shellman…has two younger brothers, Marcus McClendon and Terrell Shellman, and one younger sister, Alexis Shellman…is majoring in technology at JSU.
