2018: Made 11 starts in 36 appearances with 52 at-bats in her Sophomore season with the Gamecocks...had a batting average of .231 with a .288 in slugging also...finished out the year with 5 runs scored, 3 walks, and 12 hits...had 3 doubles with 7 RBIs as well...from the field she had 14 put-outs and 11 assists with a fielding percentage of .893.

2017: Appeared in 13 games during her first year as a Gamecock before an injury forced her to miss the remainder of the season … finished the year with a .211 batting average including a home run against Mississippi Valley on Feb. 17. 

PRIOR TO JSU: Played in 16 games as a true freshman in 2016 for head coach Beth Mullins at Troy University in Troy, Ala…was in the starting lineup 11 times for the Trojans…hit .150 in just 20 plate appearances with a double and four RBI…made her collegiate debut against Eastern Michigan on Feb. 12 and scored a run…had a two-run double against Eastern Illinois on Feb. 19.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years at Etowah High School in Attalla, Ala…holds school record for most career home runs with 21…named to the all-state team her senior year in 2015…named all-area all four years of high school…named area tournament MVP…made the Gadsden Times All-Tournament Team…played in the North/South All-Star Game…also played basketball and volleyball…three-time all-area in volleyball.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Amber Dawn Jones…born on Oct. 14, 1996...the daughter of Greg and Kim Jones…has two brothers, Dakota and Zack…mother player softball at Snead State Community College…her uncle, Stacey Jones, played baseball at Auburn and professionally with the Baltimore Orioles…majoring in physical education at JSU.
