2018: Made 6 starts in 15 appearances in her Junior season...had an ERA of 7.00 in 32 innings pitched...struck out 14 batters while giving up 22 walks...gave up 32 earned runs on 51 hits...allowed 12 doubles and just 4 home runs.
2017: Appeared in five games in her second season … tossed 10.0 innings and finished with a 2.80 ERA after allowing only four earned runs … struck out two batters and scattered nine hits … did not allow a triple or home run … had scoreless outings against Houston Baptist, Alabama A&M and Murray State … threw 2.2 innings of two-hit, no-run softball against the Racers on April 1.
2016: Appeared in 11 games for the Gamecocks as a true freshman while receiving the start assignment on three occasions…posted a 1-2 record with a 4.25 ERA…struck out 13 batters in 26.1 innings…earned her first collegiate win in a 7-6 victory over Elon…struck out multiple batters in a game in four appearances…tossed three innings of shutout softball at Louisiana Tech on Feb. 27.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four seasons for Garrett Black at Greenbrier High School in Evans, Ga…a first team all-state player during her senior year…also AAAAA Pitcher of the Year during her senior year…helped the Wolfpack to a state championship in 2014…member of the 2012 and 2014 region championship teams…four-time first team all-district player…three-time first team all-region player…GACA All-Star South team member…finished her prep career with a 68-18 record and a 2.05 ERA while having a .410 batting average…named ‘Fall Sports Player of the Week’ by Augusta Chronicle…an Augusta Sports Council's 2015 Outstanding Female Athlete Finalist.
PERSONAL: Full name is Kirsten Ingrid Titus…born on Oct. 17, 1996 in Savannah, Ga…the daughter of Marilyn and Robert Titus, both graduates of Georgia Southern, where they played softball and baseball…has a younger sister, Kaylea, and a cousin, Brandon Paul, who played at Presbyterian College…majoring in exercise science at JSU.
