JAX STATE CAREER
ACCOLADES:
2026: Had a team-leading 32 appearances in 2026 where she made 22 starts. Holmes boasted an 18-7 record in her senior season with the Gamecocks, which finished third in Conference USA. Holmes pitched 126.0 innings, including 11 complete game performances and a save. The veteran arm struck out 73 batters and allowed a .252 average against the 546 batters she faced. Holmes pitched three complete game shutouts throughout the season against DePaul (2/20), West Georgia (2/24) and Western Kentucky (3/14). Against DePaul, Holmes pitched all seven innings, only allowing three hits, while picking up a season-high seven strikeouts in the effort.
2025: Tallied up 94.0 innings of work from the rubber this season and snagged 9 wins while holding a 2.53 ERA that finished 3rd in CUSA. Jaliyah completed the season with 82 strikeouts and throwing 7 complete games. Her complete game against Southern Miss (2/28) where she struck out 4, only allowing 5 hits, and walking 1. Alongside the following game vs Arkansas Pine-Bluff (3/1) she threw a complete game while striking out 14, allowing 4 hits, and only walking 1. Those performances earned her the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week, giving Jax State back-to-back CUSA Pitcher of the Week with former teammate Kat Carter winning it the week before.
2024: Appeared in 21 games with 13 starts in 2024…Struck out 52 batters while walking just 21 in 73.0 innings…Held opponents to a .265 batting average…Had four complete games, including a 10 strikeout 7.0 inning no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Murray State on Feb. 16…Had an ERA of 3.84 and a win-loss record of 4-8…Served in the circle for a two run complete game win over Western Kentucky on April 27…Was named the 2023 ASUN Conference Freshman of the Year, as well as earning Third Team All-Conference and All-Freshman team honors during her freshman season.
2023: Named ASUN Conference Freshman of the Year in addition to Third-Team All-Conference and All-Freshman Team selections…made her Gamecock debut against Army on February 11, pitching 5.0 innings with seven strikeouts in a 11-3 win over the Black Knights…threw the first perfect game by a Gamecock in more than 15 years with 21-straight outs against Western Michigan on March 10…recorded a 16-7 record in the circle in 33 appearances and 158.1 innings pitched…boasted a team-best 2.34 ERA and 134 strikeouts…tossed 14 complete games, including four shutouts…also picked up a pair of saves.

Played for head coach Franklin DeLouch at national powerhouse East Coweta High School for five seasons...the Lady Indians were ranked as the No. 1 high school team in the nation by Softball America during Holmes’ time...the two-time 7A state pitcher of the year led ECHS to a pair of state championships in 2018 and 2020...she closed her prep career with 64 wins to just four losses and 13 additional saves while tallying over 700 strikeouts.

Born November30, 2003 in Atlanta,Ga...the daughter of Kimberly and Marques Holmes...has one older brother, Kendrick, and a younger sister, Mckenna...favorite type of food is Italian...undecided on her major at JSU.
