Box Score CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Jacksonville State soccer team won its third consecutive match in convincing fashion with a 5-0 thumping of Austin Peay on Friday night in Ohio Valley Conference action on the APSU campus

JSU moved to 8-7-0 on the season and claimed its fourth OVC match of the season, which is the most for the program since the 2005 season.  The Lady Govs, who were also 3-2-0 on the season in league play fell to 3-3-0 on the season.  The win marked the first over APSU on its home pitch in the all-time series with the Lady Govs and the first winning result over APSU since 2009 and the largest margin of victory in the series between the two programs.
The Gamecocks registered the first and eventual game-winning goal early in the contest after redshirt junior 
Courtney Hurt capitalized on a penalty kick in the 11
th minute.  The penalty kick came after a corner kick opportunity by JSU.  Jax State would nurse its 1-0 advantage the rest of the opening half and in to the final 20 minutes of the contest.  After a second goal in the 71
st minute by senior 
Jackie Rush, the Gamecocks' offense would explode for three goals in the final 19 minutes of the match.
Senior 
Lindsey Jackson scored her second goal of the season just two minutes after Rush tallied her eighth goal of the season.  Junior 
Katt Dowd was credited with her first assist of the season and third of her career against OVC competition.
With all the momentum, JSU continued to press the Lady Govs as sophomore 
Nicola Dominikovich tacked on the fourth goal in the 82
nd minute.  Once again, the scoring play was set up on a JSU corner kick.  Dominikovich netted the ball after an assist from freshman 
Kayla Thompson, who would finish the match with a pair of assists after dishing out an assist in the fifth-and-final goal of the night.  Junior 
Brianna Boutziouvis rounded out the scoring with an 86
th-minute goal.  JSU took advantage of four corner kick opportunities.
The Gamecocks had a plus-two advantage in total shots and carded 13 of the 21 total shots in the final 45 minutes.  Rush registered a match-high six shots, including three on-goal chances.  Hurt finished with four shot on goal looks, while 
Mackenzie Bellows and 
Kelsey Bright added three shots each.
JSU goalkeeper 
Caroline Robinson notched a shutout on the evening and posted six saves in the net. 
Jax State looks to keep the momentum going with a home match on Sunday against Belmont.  Match time is set for 1 p.m.  The Bruins blanked Tennessee Tech on Friday, 2-0.  The match will also be available on the OVC Digital Network.
