JACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State head soccer coach Neil Macdonald continues to re-tool the program with the addition of Cephana Deane, a transfer from James Madison University.
Deane, originally from Ajax, Ontario Canada, played her freshman season for the Dukes of JMU. Deane played in nine matches for the Virginia-based school and logged over 100 minutes on the season. She will compete for a role for one of Jax State's forward spots.
Prior to JMU, she was named to multiple all-district, region and provincial teams while starring at Pickering High School. Deane was a member of FC Durham Academy in U21 Elite League.
Deane will be the sixth Gamecock from Canada and will reunite with Ajax, Ontario native, Danelle Lindo, who will be a redshirt season for the 2019 season.
