2010: Played in 46 of the Gamecocks’ 49 games as a junior, earning the starting nod in 45, mostly at second base…a First Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer Team selection, mostly for her performance in league play, where she hit a league-best .417 in conference games…in OVC play, slugged .625, which was fifth in the league, while her .561 on base percentage in conference games was also tops in the league…on the year, hit .273 with eight doubles, four homers and 21 RBI for a .399 on base percentage…was second on the team with six sacrifice hits…committed just five errors in 152 chances for a .967 fielding percentage…recorded nine multi-hit games, including two three-hit outings…drove in a season-high four RBI against Indiana on March 13, thanks to a first inning grand slam…had two of her eight doubles on the year on March 9 at UAB.

PRIOR TO JSU: Played two seasons for head coach Jayne Clem at Wallace State Community College…was a second team all-state and an all-region selection as a sophomore after hitting .346 with 66 hits, 21 doubles, six home runs, 41 RBI and 26 walks…as a freshman in 2008, hit .319 with 65 hits, 15 doubles, four homers and 42 RBI…was Academic All-American in 2009…led the Lions to the National Championship in 2008, National Runners-Up in 2009 and to state titles in both seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played six seasons for head coach Don Smith at Lawrence County High School…was a first team all-state selection as a senior after batting .464…a career .351 hitter with 221 hits, 16 home runs, 122 walks and a .581 on-base percentage…earned Player of the Year Awards from several publications in 2007, as well as all-area and all-county honors in each of her last four years…set the LCHS record for homers in a season with 13, career walks with 122 and walks in a season with 32…was a North-South All-Star in 2006…led the Red Devils to three county titles and two area championships…also lettered in basketball…played travel softball for LC Pride, Chaos and the Sharks.

PERSONAL: Born on October 28, 1988, in Decatur, Ala…the daughter of Jackie and Belinda Burch…has an older brother, Forrest…was an honor student and member of the National Honor Society at Lawrence County High School, where she was also her class president…is majoring in secondary education at JSU.
