Biography

2011: Appeared in 54 of the Gamecocks’ 61 games as a junior, starting 52…hit .342 with 14 home runs, 10 doubles and 36 RBI to earn First Team All-OVC honors and OVC All-Newcomer accolades…hit eight of her homers in OVC play, where she also had a .298 average, five doubles and 18 RBI…hit .300 in the postseason, including a .333 clip in the OVC Tournament…also made 13 appearances in the circle, where she had a 3-3 record, a 3.25 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 36.2 innings…at the plate, had a season-best 13-game hitting streak from March 17 to April 2…had 15 multi-hit games, including four three-hit outings…belted two home runs and drove in a season-high four runs in a 3-for-4 game at Eastern Kentucky on March 12…was named the OVC’s Player of the Week on March 28 after going 10-for-20 with four doubles, three home runs and seven RBI over a six-game stretch…drew 35 walks on the year…struck out 14 batters in a five-inning win against Tennessee State on March 22…allowed just one home run and four doubles.

PRIOR TO JSU: Played two seasons for Scot Thomas at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va…in 2010, started all 58 games, mostly at first base…batted .245 with three home runs and six doubles…had 27 RBI and scored 22 runs…saw limited action in the circle, throwing 19.0 innings with a 1.84 ERA…went 1-3 with 20 strikeouts and 12 walks…as a freshman in 2009, played in 49 games, starting 44…hit .222 for the year with 28 hits, including four doubles and two home runs…drove in 11 runs and scored 15 runs…stole one base…drew 11 walks and had five sacrifice bunts…made her debut in the circle against Georgia Tech after battling arm problems in the fall, beating the eventual ACC Champions…threw 5.0 shutout innings for the win and picked up the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Hokies to a 3-2 win over the Yellow Jackets.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times for Coach Brenda Arnett…a first-team all-state selection her senior year…her final year, batted .419 with 22 runs scored, seven doubles, three home runs and 15 RBI…in the circle, went 19-9 with an ERA of 0.82 and 241 strikeouts in 161 innings pitched…named to the 2008 GACA North-South All-Star Game…the 2006 Middle Georgia Player of the Year after going 13-4-1 with 166 strikeouts as a junior…also hit .444 with six doubles, two triples, two home runs and 21 runs batted that year…the 2006 and 2007 GHSA Region 1-AAAAA Player of the Year…All-Houston County Team all four years…played on the varsity team all four years and helped her team reach the Elite Eight two straight years…also lettered in soccer as a goalie twice…played travel ball for Georgia Elite Gold.

PERSONAL: Born on September 25, 1989, in Warner Robins, Ga…the daughter of Monty and Toni Graham…has two younger brothers, Casey and Jesse …is majoring in liberal studies at JSU.
