JSU CAREER: 2021: Appeared in 14 games in his first year at Jax State made six starts on the season including getting the opening day nod in left field… had 26 plate appearances on the season…made his Gamecock debut on opening day against Southern Illinois (Feb 19).
PRIOR TO JSU: Came to JSU after two seasons at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama…played in 95 games for the Bucs, including 54 games in 2019…hit .343 in two seasons at SSCC with 63 hits as sophomore in 2019…finished with17 doubles, four triples and a pair of home runs…collected 58 career RBI and scored 55 runs…also accumulated 46 walks and seven stolen bases…recorded an on-base percentage of .457 in two seasons…only had six errors defensively in 95 games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Southside High School near Gadsden, Alabama…a three-time Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 6A All-State selection…tabbed to the ASWA Class 6A Second Team in 2015, gained ASWA All-State Honorable Mention status following the 2016 season and named ASWA All-State Second Team in 2017…led the Panthers of SHS to the semifinals of the Class 6A State Playoffs…ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 13 shortstop coming out of high school in the state of Alabama and a Top 100 prospect out of the state…a 2018 PG Preseason All-American and member of the All-Region Team…garnered a spot on the 2017 PG Preseason Underclassmen All American Team.
