2009: Started 53 of the Gamecocks’ 59 games as a true freshman, mostly as the team’s third baseman…hit .235 on the year with nine doubles, five home runs and 30 RBI, while batting .311 with four homers and 20 RBI in league play to earn OVC All-Newcomer honors…committed just nine errors in 157 chances at the hot corner, including a perfect fielding percentage in league games…was 1-for-4 with a run scored in her collegiate debut against Memphis on Feb. 6…at Eastern Kentucky on April 11, drove in a school-record seven runs on a school-record-tying two home runs…drove in four runs in a game on May 3 against Morehead State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played five seasons at Clay-Chalkville High School for coaches C.J. Hawkins and Kimball Cassady…a five-time all-state performer, led the Cougars to the playoffs in each of her five seasons and to the state tournament in 2004 and 2005…in her career at CCHS, hit .421 with 41 home runs, 93 doubles and 297 RBI…hit over .400 in all but one of her high school seasons…as a junior in 2007, hit .484 with 14 home runs and 74 RBI.

PERSONAL: Born on May 9, 1989, in Texas…the daughter of Clarence and Alta Svoboda…has one brother, Sean…plans to major in physical education at JSU.
