2016: Appeared in four games as a true freshman for the Gamecocks…recorded one hit in five at bats…first collegiate hit came against nationally ranked Louisville on March 11.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played five years under Jayme Vinson at Hernando High School in Hernando, Miss…two-time first team all-district player…two-time second team all-district player…first team all-region player during senior season…batted .536 during her senior year for the Tigers…was named Bancorp South Player of the Week…helped the Tigers to a district championship during her junior season.
PERSONAL: Full name is Alyssa Margaret Hitt…born on April 14, 1997 in Memphis, Tenn…the daughter of Heidi and Rinford Hitt Jr.…has a younger brother, Rin, and two older sisters, Anna Marie Perkins and Ashlee Hitt, who played softball at Belhaven University…undecided on a major at JSU.
