JSU CAREER:
2016: Appeared in 53 games for the Gamecocks while receiving the starting nod in the lineup 41 times…batted .311 with 10 doubles, a team-high 10 home runs and tied for the team-lead with 41 RBI…earned First Team All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer honors…recorded a .333 batting average in 22 conference games played in addition to a .652 slugging percentage…batted .321 with runners on base and .300 as the leadoff batter for an inning…hit .647 with a runner on third and less than two outs…had a .494 advancing runners success rate…recorded a team-high 22 2-out RBI…had 12 multi-hit games, including a stretch of five straight games with two hits, and 13 multi-RBI games, including a pair of four-RBI games.

PRIOR TO JSU: Played one season under Eric Neel at Darton State in Albany, Ga…was a first team all-state, all-district and all-region player for the Cavaliers…was a third team All-American after recording 67 hits, 17 doubles and 19 home runs in leading Darton State to a 46-12 record and earning the 2014 GCAA state championship… played one season at Southern Union in Wadley, Ala…was first team all-state, all-district and all-region player for the Bison…was a second team All-American after collecting 92 hits, 21 doubles, two triples, 20 home runs, 88 RBIs, seven sacrifice flies while hitting .489, having an OBP of .507 and slugging .941 as Southern Union went 45-15 during her lone year as a Bison.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Rush Rutledge at Ragland High School in Ragland, Ala…was the 2011 regional MVP…three-time first team all-state player…three-time all-tournament team member…hit 22 home runs in 2010, 19 the following year…had 91 RBI’s during the 2010 season…was named The Anniston Star’s Player of the Year in 2010…helped lead the Purple Devils to three consecutive state championships from 2010 to 2012…also played basketball and volleyball.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Emily Church…born on Oct. 25, 1993 in Birmingham, Ala…the daughter of April St. John and Curtis Church…has a younger sister, Trinity.
