Prior to JSU: Prepped at Laugalaekjaskoli before spending time at Menntaskolinn Kopavogi, which is a college prep institution in Iceland… coached by Katrin Omarsdottir and Jona Kristjansdottir on the prep level. She participated in soccer against professional teams at the age of 13 and lists Olympique Lyonnais France as her favorite professional club. Birgisdóttir is an honor student in the classroom… scored a pair of goals in each of the two seasons she played with Augnablik in 2018 and 2019 and spent the 2021 season with Breidablik.
