FINAL STATS
JACKSONVILLE – Ryan Roberson had two hits and drove in three runs to lead North Florida to a 9-3 win over Jacksonville State at Rudy Abbott Field on Saturday afternoon.
Tommy Organ (1-1) scattered seven hits and had seven strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings to earn his first win of the year for the Ospreys. JSU's
Cody Ponder (0-1) gave up six runs in 4 2/3 innings to suffer the loss in his first career start.
North Florida (4-2) took a 3-0 lead in the first inning after Roberson drove in two runs with a single to left field and Drew Weeks doubled in another run to give the Ospreys the early lead.
Jax State (0-4) got on the scoreboard after
Sam Eberle hit his first home run of the season in the home half of the first inning, then
Andrew Bishop drove in another run in the second inning to cut the lead to 3-2.
The Ospreys answered by scoring a run in the third after Tyler Marincov led off with a triple and scored on an infield grounder by Roberson, then Bryan Mathews hit a solo home run in the fourth and Alex Bacon drove in another run in the fifth inning to give UNF a 6-2 lead.
North Florida added a run in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings, before the Gamecocks scored in the bottom of the ninth inning after
Andrew Bishop led off with a triple and scored on an infield grounder by
Kyle Stone for the final margin.

Michael Bishop and Eberle each had a pair of hits to lead the Gamecocks. Andrew Karmeris led UNF with three hits, while Roberson, Paul Karmeris and Drew Weeks each added two hits.
