Jax State Soccer Hosts Troy in Rivalry Tilt

JACKSONVILLE – The Jax State soccer team will take on the Troy Trojans in their second home game of the year. The match is set to begin at Sunday at 4:00. The Gamecocks are 0-0-1 at home with a draw against UWG and 0-2-1 on the season. The Trojans come into the match-up 0-3-0 in road games and 1-3-0 on the season.
The last time these two teams met was back in 2022, when Jax State defeated Troy, 3-2. This series has been dominated by the home team with only one win for the road team in the 12 match-ups. Troy leads the series 7-3-2.
Emma Reeder finds herself at the top of the Gamecocks attack after finding the back of the net against Samford last Thursday. Rebecca Sierra-Burciaga and Emma Reeder will look to push the Gamecocks attack against the Trojans.
Jax State's goalie, Ella Holmberg, has 13 saves in three matches, and Troy's goalie, Taylor Richards, has 16 saves in four matches.
