PRIOR TO JSU: Joined the Gamecocks after stints at Alabama and Pensacola State College…signed with the Crimson Tide out of Haleyville High School…did not see action during the COVID-19 shortened season at Alabama and transferred to Pensacola State College…made six appearances, including four starts on the mound for the Pirates…turned in 12.1 innings of work with 10 strikeouts.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Haleyville High School…tabbed Baseball America’s No. 15 overall and No. 6 MLB Draft prospect in the state of Alabama coming out of high school…rated as the No. 2 left-handed pitcher in the state and the sixth overall prospect in Alabama by Perfect Game USA…the No. 2 lefty and seventh-rated player in the state by Prep Baseball Report…recorded 324 strikeouts and maintained a 1.61 ERA across his prep career at HHS…tossed five complete games during his junior season on the way to earning a spot in the 2018 North-South All-Star Game…earned Class 4A All-State Second Team accolades from the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) in both 2017 and 2018…a 2018 Underclass High Honorable Mention honoree by PG as a junior after a standout season for the Lions.
