Gamecocks Head to Volunteer State to Face UT Martin

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - The Jax State soccer team will travel to Martin, Tennessee, this Sunday to play UT Martin. The Gamecocks have won two-straight improving their record to 3-4-2 on the season. The Skyhawks have lost three in a row, leaving them with a 1-4-5 record.

Emma Reeder will continue to lead the attack for the Gamecocks, having scored a goal in each of the last four matchups. Amelia Jacobs and Rebecca Sierra-Burciaga both had second half goals earlier this week in a comeback win.

UT Martin is led by Allie Carroll and Unni Wolf, who both have two goals on the season. The Skyhawks defense has been outstanding this year having only allowed two goals in a game once this season.

Camdyn Magrosky has played the last two games in goal for Jax State and has helped the Gamecocks go on their two-game win streak with a save percentage of .750 and allowing only 0.89 goals a game.

The old OVC foes matchup for only the second time as non-conference opponents. UT Martin leads the all-time series 11-5-4, but Jax State won the only matchup outside of conference play 6-0.Â
