Biography

OUTLOOK: Has worked very hard coming into her junior season…the coaches have seen her develop a lot of maturity, and that will only improve as she is surrounded by a good and experienced pitching staff…should continue to improve and see more time in the circle.

2008: Made four appearances in the circle in relief for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…posted a 1-0 record and a 4.67 ERA in 3.0 innings pitched…allowed a run on three hits in an inning against South Alabama on Feb. 8 to earn the win.

2007: Made nine appearances as a true freshman for the Gamecocks and started four games in the circle…put together a 1-2 record and a 4.64 earned run average in 25.2 innings pitced…struck out 13 batters and walked 13…made three appearances and one start in OVC play and was 0- with a 3.36 ERA…picked up her first collegiate win in her debut vs. Belmont on Feb. 17, when she allowed two runs and struck out four in four innings of relief…earned her first career start on Feb. 18 against South Alabama, allowing five runs in 4.1 innings but got a no decision.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coaches Carrissa Milsap and Jack Willard at Adolfo Camarillo High School in Camarillo, Calif...was the Scorpions' Team MVP as a freshman before earning second-team all-state honors as a sophomore and first-team all-district accolades as a junior...suffered a knee injury in her senior year and received the Most Inspirational Award on her team...as a junior, boasted a 0.71 ERA to help lead ACHS to a 16-4 record and its fourth-straight league title...the Scorpions won five straight league championships during her career and advanced to the semifinals in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

PERSONAL: Born on Feb. 9, 1988, in Dartmouth, N.H...the daughter of Jay and Jeanne McGregor...has one brother, J.J., and one sister, Haley...her father, Jay, played baseball at Long Beach State and then with the Boston Red Sox...majoring in family consumer science and merchandising at JSU.
