JSU OUTLOOK: Was moved to the offensive line from defensive line in the spring and continues to improve each day…ended the spring as a starter.
JSU CAREER:
2010: Played in nine games as a junior, earning the starting nod in the first four games season at nose guard…tallied 11 tackles, including a stop for a loss against Georgia State on Sept. 18…posted a season-best four tackles versus Eastern Illinois on Sept. 25.
2009: Saw action in the final 10 games as a sophomore for the Gamecocks…after being moved from the offensive to defensive line, recorded 17 tackles, including 3.5 behind the line of scrimmage…was also credited with one pass broken up…did not play in the season opener against Georgia Tech on Sept. 5...made his JSU debut at Florida State on Sept. 12...credited with a tackle against Alabama A&M on Sept. 19...credited with three tackles, one solo, versus Nicholls State on Sept. 26...recorded five solo tackles, including one tackle for loss in the UT Martin game on Oct. 3...had four tackles, three solo, and a tackle for loss at Austin Peay on Oct. 31.
2008: Saw limited action in 10 games as a reserve and on special teams.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Coach Danny Horn at Clay County High School…helped lead team to the Class 2A State Championship as a junior and was the Class 3A State Runner-up his senior season…won three striaght Region Championships…started 41 games…was an All-State selection by the Alabama Sports Writers Assocation as a senior…was selected to play in the North-South All-Star game in 2007.
