JSU CAREER:
2012: Saw action in eight of the Gamecocks’ 11 games as a sophomore…recorded 12 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks on the season…finished with five solo stops and seven assists…made his collegiate debut in the Gamecocks’ season opener at Arkansas on Sept. 1, finishing with two tackles…recorded a season-high three tackles against Chattanooga on Sept. 8 and then again the next week against Eastern Kentucky…recorded two tackles against UT Martin on Nov. 3 while also assisting on his first career sack…added a tackle for loss of three yards in the game against Chattanooga and then another tackle for loss of one yard against Tennessee State on Nov. 3…finished with one tackle for loss of one yard against Florida…made his first career start against Austin Peay on Nov. 10.

2011: Did not see action as a freshman for the Gamecocks.

PRIOR TO JSU: Sat out as a redshirt at Baylor in 2010.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Rutherford High School for Greg Rivers…was a ranked No. 28 by Rivals.com, No. 105 by Scout.com nationally among defensive linemen…named 82nd ranked player in state of Florida by Rivals.com…earned all-state second-team honors by SunStateFootball.com…was a first-team all-district 2 and first-team All-Bay County defense…played both sides of ball for Rutherford, recording 65 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup as senior…had 68 tackles, including 12 tackles for loss, and seven sacks as a junior in 2008…was a three-sport standout, playing football, basketball and track…threw discus for RHS track and field team.
