JSU OUTLOOK: Had a good spring and enters the fall as the No. 1 defensive end.

JSU CAREER:
2010: Started all 12 games at linebacker for the Gamecocks as a junior…was fourth on the team in tackles with 61, 45 solo, while leading the team and ranking second in the OVC with 13 tackles for a loss…forced six fumbles, twice as many as any other OVC player and enough to rank him second nationally with 0.5 forced fumbles per game…had two sacks, five quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery…in the season opener at Ole Miss, played every snap and tied for the team lead with 13 tackles to earn OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors... recorded 2.5 tackles for loss for 13 yards in the season opener and eight if his 13 stops were solo...forced a Rebel fumble that led to JSU’s first points of the game on Jamison Wadley’s rumble return...finished with three tackles against Chattanooga along with a pass break-up...made three tackles against Georgia State along with a tackle for loss...credited with five tackles against Eastern Illinois, while carding a tackle for loss along with three quarterback hurries...turned in five tackles, two for a loss and forced a fumble against Murray State...registered three tackles in broke up a pass versus UT Martin...notched six tackles against Tennessee State, two for a loss and one sack...wreaked havoc on the Austin Peay offense as he finished with just five tackles, but posted 1.5 stops for a loss and a sack...forced a fumble and a quarterback hurry versus APSU…turned in six tackles, including 1.5 for three yards against Eastern Kentucky...finished with six tackles and a pair of forced fumbles against Tennessee Tech, while also recovering a fumble and breaking up a pass…forced a fumble and tallied five tackles, four solo in JSU playoff game vs. Wofford.

2009: Played in all 11 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore, earning his first career start at Florida State (9/12/10)…recorded 14 tackles, 10 solo, on the year, including 7.0 for a loss…his tackles for a loss combined for a team-high 32 yards…was credited with four sacks and one QB hurry, while also forcing and recovering a fumble…made his JSU debut, recording one assisted tackle against Georgia Tech (9/5)...registered one sack and recovered a fumble on the opening second half kickoff against Alabama A&M (9/19)...had two tackles at Nicholls State (9/26)...posted a sack for loss of six yards against Eastern Illinois (10/24)...had two tackles for loss against Austin Peay (10/31)...credited with two solo tackles against Southeast Missouri State (11/7)...in the season finale against Eastern Kentucky (11/21), had four tackles, including three for a loss and one sack, and a forced fumble.

2008: Did not see action as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Rodney Hanes at Sparkman High School…was a two-time All-State selection, earning the honor in 2005 and 2006…was a first-team All-District and All-Region selection his junior and senior years…finished his career with more than 185 tackles, seven forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and three interceptions…had 90 tackles and two interceptions as a senior…named team Most Valuable Defensive Player in 2006…helped the Senators to a 10-2 record as a senior and the region championship…named to the Huntsville Times All-Metro team.
