JSU OUTLOOK: Enters the fall as the starter at safety.

JSU CAREER:
2010: Appeared in all 12 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, starting all but one in the defensive backfield…was third on the team in tackles and first amongst JSU’s defensive backs with 65 stops, 42 solo…broke up three passes…was named the OVC’s Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 14 after recording 11 tackles, one behind the line of scrimmage, JSU’s win over SEMO in a battle of Top 10 teams…tied for the team lead in tackles at Ole Miss with a career-high 13...carded four tackles and one of six JSU pass break ups against Chattanooga…added two tackles against Georgia State, while also being credited with four tackles along with a pass break-up...turned in five tackles against Murray State...posted five tackles against UT Martin along with a pass break up...credited with three tackles against Tennessee State...turned in a team-best 10 tackles against Tennessee Tech.

2009: Appeared in all 11 games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…notched 15 tackles as a reserve, with one coming behind the line of scrimmage…broke up one pass and recovered a pair of fumbles...notched two solo tackles and recovered a fumble in the season opener at Georgia Tech (9/5)...had three tackles, two solo, and recovered a fumble at Nicholls State (9/26)...posted three tackles, two solo, and a tackle for loss against UT Martin (10/3)...had two tackles and a pass breakup at Murray State (10/10)...had two tackles against Eastern Kentucky (11/21) in the season finale.

2008: Played in nine games on special teams and as a backup defensive back…had five tackles, four solo stops, on the season…recorded two tackles at Chattanooga (9/20)…had one tackle against Alabama A&M (9/6), Murray State (10/18) and UT-Martin (10/23).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Alan Plump at Huffman High School in Birmingham, Ala…had 88 tackles, three sacks, eight interceptions and six pass breakups as a senior…finished his HHS career with 222 tackles, eight interceptions and 12 pass deflections…picked off three passes and had 10 tackles against Pinson Valley…earned Second-Team All-State and First-Team All-Region and All-District his senior year…named Second-Team All-District as a junior.
