JSU OUTLOOK: Had a good spring and worked hard to improve at quarterback…will help to add depth and experience to the quarterback position.
JSU CAREER:
2010: Saw action against Austin Peay as a reserve on Oct. 23…completed his lone three pass attempts of the season, all to Kevyn Cooper, for 62 yards and a touchdown, a 10-yard strike…also found Cooper on a 40-yard pass and a 12-yard pass to set up the score.
PRIOR TO JSU: Spent three seasons as a backup quarterback at the University of Alabama for Nick Saban…sat out as a redshirt in 2007…was a squad player on the team’s 2009 National Championship team…earned the Bear Bryant Scholarship for Most Outstanding Player during the A-Day Spring Game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Robert Herring at Newnan High School...was name the Region Player of the Year in 2007 after passing for more than 2,300 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior…led the team to a 10-0 regular-season record and a berth to the state playoffs as a senior and was named All-State…was team most valuable player as a junior and senior…threw for 2,870 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2005, completing 62 percent of his passes to earn All-State honors… rated No. 76 on Max Emfinger's 2006 Georgia Elite 80 Playmakers..also lettered in basketball and baseball, where he was an All-Region selection as a senior…also helped teams to a pair of Region Championships in both baseball and basketball.
PERSONAL: Full name is Thomas Darrah…son of Tommy and Becky Darrah…born on August 5, 1988…has two sisters, Megan and Mackenzie…majoring in sociology/criminal justice at JSU.
