JSU CAREER 
2019:
Saw action in 55 games an started 40 games…started at first base 31 times and in the designated hitters spot six times…also made three appearances on the mound, including a pair of starts against Troy on February 27 and Alabama State on March 27…finished the season hitting .258 from the left side of the dish…collected 42 hits with 12 extra base hits…posted 35 RBI and scored 19 times…had JSU;s first walk-off home run against North Alabama on February 16…turned in a season-best three-hit, four RBI outing against Eastern Kentucky on April 19…finished with nine multi-hit games and registered 10 multi-RBI contests.

(2018): A multi-position player as a sophomore with time at first base, right field and made his pitching debut in 2018…stated at first base 24 times and slotted in right field 26 times…made five appearances on the mound, including four starts on the bump…finished the season hitting .291 with 59 hits with 15 extra base hits…tallied 30 RBI and scored 47 runs…turned in eight home runs and seven doubles from the left side of the plate…ranked second on the team in walks with 31…recorded 20 multi-hit games, including a pair of  four-hit games…posted five multi-RBI contests and strung together a 13-game on-base streak during the season…established a new career high in hits in a single game with four against Murray State (3/31/18) and versus Tennessee Tech (4/6/18)…set new career standards for RBI on opening day with four RBI against Southern Illinois (2/16/18), including a pair of home runs versus the Salukis…matched that feat on May 25 against Southeast Missouri in the OVC Tournament…carded a pair of doubles against Murray State (3/31/18)…nearly set a program record for walks in a single game versus Eastern Illinois on March 16 with five walks in the contest…made his pitching debut in a midweek outing against Alabama State in Oxford, Alabama on April 17…tossed three innings in his first start with five strikeouts in the outing…pitched four innings against the Hornets in Montgomery, Alabama on April 24…started the May 8 road game at Alabama and fanned four Crimson Tide hitter…faced OVC foes UT Martin (5/13/18) and against SIU Edwardsville (5/19/18)

(2017): Named to the Collegiate Baseball’s Freshman All-American team … selected to the OVC All-Newcomer Team … finished the season with a .302 batting average, 30 runs scored, 55 hits, four doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 29 runs batted in, 88 total bases and 16 walks … nine home runs ranked second most on the team … batted .321 in 28 OVC games … committed only three errors in 227 field opportunities against conference foes … Gamecocks went 15-6 in OVC games when Naismith batted in the sixth spot … had 18 multi-hit games, including 12 in league play, and seven multiple RBI games, including four in OVC play.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama…played for head coach Matt Cimo…earned First Team All-State honors by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a utility player…led Auburn to the 7A state final in pitching and offensively…on the mound, he posted a 2.00 earned run average, a 1.07 WHIP and 51 strikeouts in 42 innings pitched…at the plate, he had a .425 batting average, a .496 on-base percentage, seven home runs, 13 doubles, 43 RBIs and 27 runs in 120 at-bats…named to the Opelika-Auburn News’ All-Area first team for the second consecutive year…also played outfield and first base for the Tigers…went 5-2 with two saves and a 2.07 ERA in 40.2 innings, including a complete game shutout as a junior…recorded 38 strikeouts and walked only 15 batters in 2015…also hit .333 with three homers and 18 RBIs while seeing time in the infield…named to the Opelika-Auburn News’ All-Area First Team after his junior campaign…a 2015 Alabama High School Baseball Coach Association Top 120 player and a 2015 AHSBCA Team Alabama selection…finished his AHS career with over 100 hits…named a Perfect Game Regional All-American Honorable Mention in 2014 and 2015…participated in summer travel ball with Team Elite Prime (2014-15) and a member of the Triton Rays (2016)
 
PERSONAL: Born on June 8, 1998…the son of Armin and Laura Naismith…has one brother, Michael…an accounting major at JSU.
