Biography

2019: Made 18 appearances on the mound as a freshman and earned a start against UAB on May 14…went three innings and tallied three strikeouts in the outing…made his Gamecock debut versus Alabama on February 18…turned in four-plus innings of work three times, including a season-high 4.2 versus Samford on March 5…collected a season-best five strikeouts and did not issue a hit against the Bulldogs…carded four strikeouts against Georgia on May 8…made two appearances in the NCAA Oxford Regional against Ole Miss and Clemson…finished the season with 32 strikeouts in 34 innings of work…picked up a win at Auburn on April 9 along with a win at Samford on April 30…was the winning pitcher against SIU Edwardsville on May 12…notched a save at Eastern Kentucky on April 18 after nailing down the final 3.0 innings and registering three strikeouts.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Boaz High School and coached by Adam Keenum…named by the Alabama Sports Writers Association as a First Team All-State selection as a designated hitter…helped the Pirates to 33 wins over the last three seasons…turned in a solid junior season at BHS with a .367 batting average and driving in 18 runs…finished with 19 runs scored and an an on-base percentage of .509…on the mound as a sophomore and junior, he combined for 135 strikeouts in 94.3 innings in two years of play…held an earned run average of 2.75 while keeping opponents to a .214 batting average…helped guide the Pirates to the second round of the AHSAA State Playoffs in 2017...BHS also had postseason appearances in 2015 and 2016…named a 2017 Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All American…earned a spot on the 2017 WWBA 2018 Grads or 17U National Championship All-Tournament Team as a member of the Excel Blue Wave 17U…claimed 2017 WWBA Labor Day Classic at LakePoint (Upperclass) All-Tournament Team honors (Triton Rays).
