JSU CAREER
2011:
Entered the season as the starting quarterback but had his season ended in the first half of the Sept. 1 opener vs. UT Martin with a broken leg…threw for 56 yards and a touchdown on 5-for-10 passes and ran five times for nine yards before the injury.

2010: Started all 12 games as the Gamecocks’ quarterback as a junior…was third in the OVC in total offense with 196.6 yards per game, passing with 187.3 ypg, and passing efficiency with 133.1…completed 181 of his 309 passes for a league-best 18 touchdowns…threw for 2,248 yards, sixth-most in JSU history, and ranked 30th nationally in that category…ranked in the top 10 in JSU’s single-season record books in several categories: attempts (309-9th), completions (181-8th), passing TDs (18-7th), completion pct (58.6-6th), efficiency (133.1-7th), yds/game (187.3-7th)…also ran 59 times for 118 yards and two touchdowns…threw for a school-record 444 yards at Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 6, a game that also saw him break school records with 30 completions and 49 passing attempts…his three touchdown passes in the EKU game were the sixth-most in a game in school history…the 444 yards was one of just three times all season an OVC player threw for 400 yards in a game…earned the starting nod in JSU’s win over Ole Miss and orchestrated the Gamecocks’ game-tying touchdown drive at the end of regulation...tossed two touchdowns to Alan Bonner in the final moments of regulation and in the first overtime period against the Rebels...tied the contest with a two-point conversion pass to La’Ray Williams...finished 13-of-23 for 126 yards in the air against Ole Miss to share Co-OVC Offensive Player of the Week honors with fellow QB Coty Blanchard...finished the Chattanooga game 18-for-33 for 226 yards, including the game-winning 72-yard touchdown strike to James Shaw with just over two minutes to play...in his return to the Georgia Dome to face Georgia State, he threw for 283 yards and a score on 24 completions and scored the game-winning TD in overtime on a two-yard plunge, his first career rushing touchdown...against Eastern Illinois, threw for 122 yards and two scores…against UT Martin, completed just seven passes but threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, his sixth-straight game with over 100 yards passing...recorded a pair of TD passes against Austin Peay, a game that saw him complete his first 10 passes in a 10-for-12 game…ended the Peay contest with 145 passing yards while rushing for 41 yards on six carries...orchestrated JSU’s game-winning drive against SEMO that concluded with a 17-yard TD strike to Alan Bonner with less than a minute to play....finished the game vs. the Redhawks with 222 yards passing on 18 completions...finished the Tennessee Tech contest 17-of-35 for 191 yards and a pair of TDs...in the playoffs vs. Wofford, completed 15 of his 30 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing two interceptions.

2009: Saw action in nine of the Gamecocks’ 11 games as a sophomore, mostly as the team’s backup quarterback…threw for 315 yards and four touchdowns, while just throwing one interception…completed 39 of his 60 pass attempts on the year and ran for 50 yards on 24 carries…made his first collegiate start in the season opener against Georgia Tech (9/5)...completed 23-of-38 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns passes versus GT - all career highs...completed two-of-four passes for 32 yards and tossed a five-yard touchdown pass to Kevyn Cooper in the fourth quarter at Nicholls State (9/26)...completed two of two passes for eight yards and a touchdown and rushed three times for 23 yards versus Murray State (10/10)...completed one-of-two passes for nine yards and rushed three times for 25 yards at Austin Peay (10/31)...went two-for-two with 10 yards passing and rushed two times for eight yards against Tennessee Tech (11/14).

2008: Played four games as a true freshman as a reserve quarterback…completed seven-of-12 passes for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns and rushing six times for nine yards…connected on five-of-seven passes for 103 yards, including his first career touchdown pass of four yards to Maurice Dupree against Alabama A&M (9/6)…tossed an 11-yard touchdown to Jeffrey Cameron against Southeast Missouri State (10/4)…

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Northside High School in Warner-Robbins, Ga., for Conrad Nix and never lost a high school football game after winning 30 straight, including back-to-back State Championships…the Eagles finished ranked No. 7 in the country…passed for 1,404 yards as a senior and 11 touchdowns as team went a perfect 15-0…was 76-125-3 for a 60.8 completion percentage and averaged 140.4 passing yards…had 45 carries for 117 yards and one touchdown…had his best game of the season, going 11-for-16 for 293 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a 31-28 win over Tucker in the semi-final round of the state playoffs as team rallied from a 21-point deficit…was 9-for-16 for 136 yards and a touchdown for a 20-14 win over Ware County in the state finals…as a junior, was 116-for-178 for 1,823 yards and 27 touchdowns…averaged 121.5 yards per game…threw for three or more touchdowns in three games, while throwing for two touchdowns in seven other games…passed for more than  100 yards in 10 games, with a season-high 191 against Westside…also had 109 carries for 545 yards and four touchdowns…holds school record for career passing yards and career passing touchdowns…finished his career with 4,595 passing yards and 45 touchdowns…named Who’s Who Among American High School Students
