2014: Appeared in all 12 games for the Gamecocks as a junior, starting three of them…was fifth on the team in receptions with 13 for 173 yards and one touchdown…averaged 14.4 yards per game and 13.3 yards per catch…caught a 73-yard touchdown pass from Eli Jenkins late in the first quarter of the Gamecocks’ Second Round FCS Playoff game against Sam Houston State…had a season-high three catches at Tennessee State on Oct. 11…had two catches three times-at Chattanooga on Sept. 6, vs. Austin Peay on Nov. 1 and at Southeast Missouri on Nov. 22…made three tackles, two in the West  Alabama game on Sept. 20.

2013: Appeared in all 15 of the Gamecocks’ games as a sophomore…fifth on the team with 16 catches and 205 receiving yards, while also hauling in a touchdown pass…caught two passes for 24 yards in the Aug. 31 season opener at Alabama State…had a season-high three catches for 11 yards vs. Tennessee State on Oct. 12…caught his first career touchdown pass at UT Martin on Oct. 5, a 36-yard strike from Max Shortell…his 36 receiving yards at UTM were also a season high…caught two passes in a game four times, including in two of the Gamecocks’ three FCS Playoff games.

2012: Saw action in all 11 of the Gamecocks’ games…finished the season with one catch for 16 yards against Eastern Illinois on Oct. 13…made his collegiate debut against Arkansas on Sept. 1…finished with one tackle against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 6.

2011: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Chuck Jordan at Conway High School…hauled in 136 yards and one touchdown…named team captain at CHS…helped guide CHS to an 11-2 mark as a senior.

PERSONAL: Full name is Spencer William Goffigan…son of Walter and Julie Goffigan…born June 7, 1992, in Laramie, Wyoming…has two brothers, Ryan and Josh, and one sister, Alyssa…his dad, Walter, played collegiately at Wyoming and professionally for the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys…both his brothers also played college football, Ryan at Coastal Carolina and Josh at Lincoln University…received his degree in exercise science from JSU and is pursuing a masters in sports management.
