JSU CAREER: 2016: Started all 12 games for JSU…earned All-OVC second team honors…selected to the 2016 Preseason All-OVC team…helped pave the way for the top offense and No. 1 rushing offense in the OVC…blocked for All-American quarterback Eli Jenkins, who averaged 175.6 passing and 82.0 rushing yards per game…key member of an offensive line which helped the Gamecocks rush for over 3,000 yards on the year…helped allow JSU’s offense rack up 5,209 yards of total offense over 12 games - an average of 434.1 offensive yards per game.

2015: Started 11 games and saw action in all 15 of JSU’s contests…member of the offensive line that helped set the single-season school record for total offense with 7,613 yards which included season records for both passing and rushing…helped open lanes for the third-leading rusher in the country in Troymaine Pope…led the conference in total and scoring offense averaging 38.9 points per game…assisted a line that led the OVC in first downs, averaging nearly 25 per game. 

2014: Made his JSU debut in the season opener at Michigan State…went on to play in all 12 games on the offensive line…started the final three games of the season at left guard…paved the way for the Gamecocks to break a school record for yards per game at 510.8 per contest…helped the offense rank fourth nationally in total offense and tops in the Ohio Valley Conference in that category…paced the rushing attack that led the OVC…member of the offensive line that allowed just 18 sacks throughout the 2014 season, which was listed third-best in the conference…keyed JSU on third down conversions as a freshman as the club ranked second in the OVC in moving the chains on third down…finished the season with an 82 percent offensive line grade.

2013: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach David Powell at McAdory High School in McCalla, Ala…was a first team All-State performer as a senior in 2012, when he was also named The Birmingham News West Lineman of the Year…led the Yellow Jackets to a 14-1 record and the AHSAA Class 5A state championship game as a senior by recording 90 tackles, seven for a loss, and four sacks…was a part of every facet of the Yellow Jackets’ games, registering 26 pancake blocks on the offensive line and averaging 35 yards per punt as their starting punter.

PERSONAL: Full name is Dylan Wayne Cline…son of Jackie and Vicki Cline…born on March 16, 1995, in McCalla, Ala…has one older sister, Jennifer Baswell…his father Jackie played football at the University of Alabama and professionally for the Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers…majoring in communications at JSU.
