2015: Made eight appearances on the O-Line with his debut coming against Tennessee State on Sept. 19…he was among the valuable reserves who along with the starters opened the running and passing lanes for an offense that set the school record for passing yards (3102) and rushing yards (4511) in a single season…appeared in two playoff contests.
2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Scott Basden at Muscle Shoals as a senior and prepped at Giles County High School in Pulaski, Tenn., the first three years on the prep level…helped the Trojans post a 13-2 record and advance to the state championship game…team set school record for most wins with 13…played at Giles County High School from 2010-12 for David O’Conner…was an first-team all-state selection as a junior where he helped team to a 13-1 record…team finished 11-2 his sophomore year…chose Jax State over Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay, Western Kentucky and Dayton.
PERSONAL: Full name is Wesley Dylan Gibson…was born on December 5, 1995, in Columbia, Tenn…the son of Melanie and Wesley Gibson…has a younger brother, Shawn…undecided on major at JSU.
