Biography

JSU CAREER:
2015: Played in all 15 of JSU’s contests in their run to the national title game…recorded single tackles against Eastern Kentucky and Murray State. 

2014: Appeared in six games for the Gamecocks as a sophomore…caught one pass for 12 yards against West Alabama on Sept. 20. 

2013: Saw action in 11 of the Gamecocks’ 15 games as a true freshman…caught one pass for eight yards in the season opener at Alabama State on Aug. 31…also recorded two tackles, one at Alabama State and another at Georgia State on Sept. 21.

HIGH SCHOOL:  An honorable mention All-State performer as a senior in 2012 for head coach Frank Hepler of West Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga…a first-team all-county and all-region selection in each his junior and senior seasons…led the Wolverines to a 10-2 record and the Georgia High School Association’s Class AAAAAA Region 6 championship in 2012…a member of the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society…played for Hoover High in metro Birmingham before transferring to West Forsyth before his junior season.

PERSONAL: Full name is Ty Christian Anderson…son of Steve and Shay Anderson…has a younger sister, Alli…born on July 17, 1994, in Hoover, Ala…majoring in business management at JSU.
