2022: Saw action in nine games on the defensive side of the ball…finished with seven tackles, including 2.5 stops for a loss…credited with a pair of tackles on two occasions against Tulsa and Austin Peay…recorded a stop for a loss against the Govs and in the season finale at Central Arkansas.
2021: Played in nine games as a Covid redshirt freshman…had an assisted tackle at No. 1 Sam Houston on Oct. 23…later tied his career mark with two assisted takedowns at Lamar, including one for a three yard loss…finished the year with three tackles.
FALL 2020/SPRING 2021: Appeared in nine contests including the final five of the spring season during his first full year with the Gamecocks…recorded four tackles on the season, two of them coming unassisted…had a career-high day in the first round of the FCS Playoffs on April 24 against Davidson where he recorded two tackles, one for a loss...finished the year assisting with a sack against Tennessee State for a loss of six yards.
2019: Made appearances in three games as a linebacker before receiving a redshirt…assisted in his first career tackle at UT-Martin, while his first solo stop came at home in the final contest of the year against Eastern Kentucky, finishing the year with two tackles.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for head coach Ted Darby at Talladega High School in Talladega, Ala…led the Tigers to a pair of AHSAA playoff appearances…a first-team all-region selection in 2018 and the AHSAA Class 4A Region 4 Defensive Player of the Year.
PERSONAL: Born on Aug. 18, 2001, in Talladega, Ala…the son of Lewis Wells and Tawanda Scott…has two brothers – Kendarius and Jaidin, and two sisters – Kensley and Kennedi…majoring in computer science at JSU.
