JSU CAREER: 2021: Appeared in JSU’s final three games of the 2021 season…made the tackles at Lamar on Nov. 6.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Prepped for head coach Jeff Smith at Walter Wellborn High School in Aniston, Ala…a three-time First Team All-State player for the Panthers, grabbing honors in each his sophomore, junior and senior seasons…played quarterback, linebacker, safety and punter for WWHS and was First Team All-Region and All-Calhoun County four times, including Region MVP honors in 2019 and 2020 and Calhoun County MVP honors in 2020…as a senior in 2020, was named the AHSAA Class 3A Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association after racking up 154 tackles, four forced fumbles, three recoveries, an interception, two blocked punts and a defensive touchdown…he also ran for 1,271 yards and 12 touchdowns on offense…in his career, had 624 tackles (second-most in AHSAA history), seven fumbles forced and 12 recovered, six interceptions and six blocked punts…offensively, ran for 3,677 yards and 43 scores, while throwing for 1,619 yards and 15 touchdowns and catching two touchdown passes in his career…named to the Fab 40 players in Alabama and selected to play in the North-South All-Star Game in 2020.
