JSU OUTLOOK: Has the respect of every pitcher and works extremely hard in the bullpen…has done a great job of getting guys ready to go into the game…will also play another huge role in the success of the pitchers this year.
 
JSU CAREER:
 
(2012) Saw limited action, appearing in six games…recorded one hit against Eastern Illinois (5/17) to finish with a 1.000 average on the season…drove in two runs on that hit…finished the season with three RBI…was walked twice and was hit by a one pitch on the year.
 
(2011) Sat out the season as a redshirt.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at The IMG Academy for Kevin Sharpe his junior and senior years…played his freshman and sophomore seasons at The Covenant School…finished his senior season with a .305 batting average…also lettered in football.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Carlos Agustin Somoza…son of Bernabe and Nancy Somoza…born on March 1, 1991…has two older brothers, Miguel and Francisco…lists the Texas Rangers as his favorite Major League Baseball team…major is undeclared at JSU.
