Biography

JSU CAREER:
(2015): Played in 38 games and started in four games as a junior, primarily as a pinch runner…tallied 23 plate appearances and had a hit against Air Force (3/29/15)…scored a run in the season opener against Youngstown State (2/13/15)…had 22 putouts from his outfield spot…named to the 2014-15 OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

(2014) Saw action in 39 games and made nine starts…finished the season hitting .204 and an on-base percentage of 310…collected 10 hits, including two extra base hits…scored a pair of runs against Valparaiso (2/23)…posted two hits, one of which was a triple, in a season-high plate appearances in the Samford contest (3/25)…also had multi hits at Tennessee Tech (4/19) and against Alabama (5/13)…drove in a pair of runs versus Alabama State (4/2)…swiped three bases on the base paths.
 
(2013) Appeared in 43 games, making 36 starts (35 OF, 1 DH) as a true freshman…finished the season batting .266 with 34 hits, 7 doubles, one home run and 13 RBI…had nine multiple-hit games, including five three hit games…made his first career start against Kennesaw State (2/15) and was 1-for-4 with one RBI…went 3-for-5 with one home run, a double and two RBI against UT Martin (3/9)…appeared in 19 OVC games, making 17 starts…batted .302 with 18 hits, three doubles, one home run and eight RBI…went 3-for-4 with two RBI against Murray State (4/12)…stole six bases on the year.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Tim Fanning at Glenwood High School…was a five-year letterman…batted .411 as a junior and .370 as a senior while helping the  Gators win state championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011…named second-team all-state in 2010 and first-team in 2011 and 2012…also named all-district in 2011 and 2012 and all-region in 2011…also lettered in football…was an honor student...
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Chase Silvani…son of Mike and Michele Silvani…born on September 14, 1993…has one younger brother, Chad… …lists the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Major League team and Jason Heyward as his favorite player…majoring in Exercise Science and Wellness at JSU.
