SUMMER BASEBALL: Played for the East Alabama Big Train for Roberto Martinez in 2010 and also in 2009.

(2011) Made 16 appearances out of the bullpen as a sophomore…posted a 3.97 ERA in 22.2 innings…allowed 22 hits, 12 runs, 10 earned with 19 strikeouts and 14 walks…had 10 outings where he allowed 1-hit or less…had a career-best five strikeouts in 2.0 innings vs Bucknell (3/19)…pitched a season-long 2.2 innings vs Austin Peay, allowing two hits with a pair of strikeouts…had four strikeouts vs UT Martin (3/26) in 2.0 innings…had a pair of strikeouts vs Austin Peay (4/16)…opponents only hit .268 off the right-hander.

PERSONAL: Full name is Benjamin Luke Haynes…son of James and Jeannie Haynes…born on November 23, 1990…has three older brothers, Matthew, Jared and Ryan…his uncle Tommy Doyle, played football at Troy…lists the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Major League Baseball team and Derek Jeter as his favorite player…majoring in Marketing at JSU.
