Biography

JSU CAREER:
2018: A 53-game starter as a junior, splitting time behind the plate and at third base…was behind the plate for 38 games and at third base for 15 games…finished the season hitting .324 with 67 hits in 207 at bats, including 31 extra base hits, including a team-high 10 home runs and 18 doubles…tallied a club-best 55 RBI…had a slugging percentage of .585 and an on-base mark of .424…collected a team-best 32 walks and reached base by hit by a pitch 10 times…threw out nine base runners…had career day against Florida International on March 3 with a 6-for-6 game at the dish with six RBI, highlighted by a pair of doubles in JSU’s 13-6, 10-inning win over the Panthers…had two doubles three other times throughout the season…connected on a triple against Southeastern Missouri (4/13/18) and versus Eastern Kentucky (4/27/18)…posted a pair of home runs at Morehead State (5/4/18)…had multiple hits in 20 games, including 12 two-base hit contests…led the team in multi-RBI games with 15…reached base 17 straight games during the campaign and put together a 10-game hitting streak.

(2017): Saw action in 41 games as a sophomore … finished with four home runs, which was good enough to tie for third best on the club, to go along with a .261 batting average, 30 runs scored, 37 hits, five doubles, one triple, 30 runs driven in and three stolen bases … credited with 192 putouts, the third highest mark on the team … hit .289 in 25 OVC games a year ago … recorded eight total multiple hit games and nine multiple RBI games, including seven and five, respectively, against conference foes … only Gamecock hit by multiple pitches in a game during the season when he was hit by two pitches against Belmont on April 21, 2017 … collected six hits in a five-game hitting streak from April 22nd to May 2.

(2016): Platooned with Hayden White at the catcher spot, seeing action in 17 games…made 14 starts behind the dish as a freshman…had 11 hits on 47 at bats in his first season on the collegiate level, including a pair of doubles and a home run…had three multiple hit games, highlighted by the Austin Peay (3/20) contest with a double and a home run…collected three RBI in the 26-11 win in the league…was called upon in the 16-inning marathon at Troy with 4.0 innings on the hill…allowed three hits and tallied four strikeouts to earn the win over the Trojans…was used out of the bullpen against Southeast Missouri (4/24) and Eastern Kentucky (5/6).

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Dade County High in Trenton, Ga., under head coach Brent Cooper…3-time first team All-Region…first team All-State senior season and second team All-State junior season…batted .385 in four seasons…was a two-time All-Region selection in basketball…honor student at Dade County HS.

PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 12, 1996 in Dade County, Ga…the son of Joe and Jeanie Gaddis…has two older brothers, Chandler and Zach…majoring in marketing at JSU
